Before and after the California fires: satellite pictures show devastation


 moving fierce blazes consumed around Los Angeles, circling the city.


On Tuesday, storm force winds blew coals through the air, touching off a large number of blocks, and obliterating an area of land around 42 sq miles (108 sq km) in size. By Wednesday night, six flames were consuming from the Pacific Coast inland to Pasadena, the majority of them uncontrolled.

Satellite pictures showed the size of the obliteration from the Pacific Palisades fire, which consumed in excess of 15,000 sections of land and left the shore along the well known Malibu area singed dark and structures along the water caught fire.

In Pacific Palisades itself, the greater part twelve schools were either harmed or annihilated.

Los Angeles city chairman Karen Bass expressed firemen from across California and somewhere else had shown up to help alongside air tasks that were splashing flares. She cautioned they actually confronted "inconsistent breezes", however not of tropical storm force like Tuesday night, when a significant part of the obliteration happened.


In Altadena, behind the mountains north of Los Angeles where the Eaton fire grabbed hold, satellite pictures showed line upon column of burned private roads, with smoke from the close by flames blasts in the air. On Wednesday, the roads were loaded up with debris, with structures wherever on fire.
